Tuesday May 14th Training Ride
The Wheelsucker Is Dropped!

The Wheelsucker found himself on the front for the last part of the Harwood Hill climb and was gapped by a lead group that drove the pace off the top. He pulled out of line to the left when it was clear, and looked for someone to close the gap but did not have enough (physical or mental) to grab a wheel as riders jumped to chase, and these riders formed a chase group.

The chase merged with the lead group while the Wheelsucker chased hard with Bob Walters. Shortly before the right turn onto the route 2 shoulder, Tom Aga came back to them.

The three chased together and were close enough at the South Polling House stair step climb that the Wheelsucker and Tom tried to bridge on the climb, but did not make it.

The three short cut to the P&R.

The Wheelsucker is considering giving up cycling.

Yep, just a matter of time before you start getting passed by the old ladies on the bike path.

No doubt! This morning I was rolling out from my place to start a recovery ride and a female bike commuter on a flat bar road bike went by me like I was standing still. This is the end!!!!!
